Handicap Tubs

Looking for handicap tubs?  Sometimes instead of getting a stool or shower transfer bench, it’s just easier to look into getting handicap tubs instead.  Handicap tubs are designed specifically for those with disabilities that prevent the easy access in and out of a bathtub.  These baths are designed with safety in mind, they have an easy to open and shut door which lets you easily step into the bath unit and then sit down in the unit so that you can take your bath independently and in peace.

This is extremely freeing as if you’re used to relying on someone else, this completely takes that away so you can go on about your daily life without aid.  Now if you’re looking for handicap tubs, I’ll go over the best one that I found with you here so that you know what is out there and which tub to keep an eye on:

1.  Walk-in Tub ACRYLIC Hydro, air COMBO massages, 1.5KW In-line heater Ozone Sterilization Therm Control Spout Hand Shower Lifetime lim warranty for the door, shell, frame Walk in Bathtub 55" x 38" x 31 3/4"-wide

If ever there was a mouthful, this would be it.  This is the description of the product when you search for it on Amazon, so it shouldn’t be hard to find.  This sells for $3,639 and is rated 5/5 stars by 3 customer reviews.

This has a safety grab bar, textured slip resistant floor, a large tub, a 1.5kw water heater, a scratch resistant acrylic surface and many other features that make this stand out.  Some of those other features that add to it’s appeal are 10 hydro jets and 7 air jets that give you a nice therapeutic bath.  There are even 2 air jets that are on the chair that work as a bidet.

Another great feature is the ability to control the rate of flow from the jets so you can have them going at you mild or more aggressively to better offer a massage.  The safety chair is 16.5” high and 23” wide, the height from the seat to the top of the tub is 16.5” as well so you can comfortably soak your upper body.

Another great feature in this is the water heater which keeps the bathing temperature at the level you desire.  This tub has a capacity of 90 gallons without anyone in the tub and 50-60 when you’re inside of it.  It takes 4.5 minutes to drain 90 gallons so slightly less for when you’re inside of it.

All 3 of the reviewers of this tub gave it great ratings and mention how much of a blessing it has been to the family.  If you’re looking for quality handicap tubs, this is one to pay attention to.
